SARAJEVO, October 18 (FENA) - A startup studio, a world-renowned concept of entrepreneurship support, has opened in Sarajevo as the first one in region. It will operate under the name Startup studio 'lonac' (pot).
According to the implementers of this project, the focus is on entrepreneurship of young people, who can get everything they need for their professional success in one place, from mentoring, financial, legal, consulting and other forms of support to innovative ideas for starting a business that will be socially responsible sphere.
The startup studio is about creating a community for activism and entrepreneurship, said Zoran Puljić, Director of the Mosaic Foundation that is involved in this project.
In a panel discussion on "Innovation and systematic support for young start-ups", Deputy Head of Mission of the Swedish Development Agency SIDA Torgny Svenungsson said that this is a partnership for development with the aim of giving young people new job opportunity.
Participation in this project is only part of the Swedish development cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina, not only in economic development sector, which aims to enable Bosnia and Herzegovina to join the European institutions as soon as possible.
Mayor of the Municipality Centar Sarajevo Nedžad Ajnadžić emphasized the interest of the municipality to help young people present their business ideas in order to prompt realization with desired goal of sustainability.
