SARAJEVO, October 17 (FENA) - Speaker of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament and President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA), Bakir Izetbegović, received today in an inaugural visit the Head of the European Union Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Johann Sattler.
The two discussed the ongoing political issues in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with an emphasis on the processes of completing the formation of the government and implementing the recommendations of the European Commission Opinion on BiH's application for EU membership.
The interlocutors agreed that the solution is to overcome political differences through a compromise and the process of bringing closer the different positions, within the framework of the Constitution and the law, through a responsible political approach.
Legislative and executive bodies must be fully committed to economic development and infrastructure projects, as well as overall work to improve the living standard.
Izetbegović and Sattler emphasized that the process of European integration of BiH and the whole region has mutual benefits for both Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Union, and that the process of BiH's integration as the most important reform and stabilization framework should be intensified, in line with credible perspective and fulfillment of the undertaken commitments , the SDA said.
