BIHAĆ, October 9 (FENA) - NATO HQ Deputy Commander in Bosnia and Herzegovina Morten Henriksen and the Una Sana Canton (USC) Prime Minister Mustafa Ružnić met today in Bihać and discussed the situation with migrants and refugees, as well as cooperation with the BiH Armed Forces.

“This is a very significant visit for me, considering that I am familiar with the situation in this canton. I was particularly interested in the situation with migrants and refugees, namely the security and health aspects of this situation. We also discussed the cooperation of local and cantonal authorities with the Armed Forces of BiH. Now I will be able to use this information in cooperation with state authorities as well as international organizations,” Henriksen said.

USC Prime Minister Mustafa Ružnić said that this visit is one of the most important in this year. He reiterated the complexity and consequences of the migration process in this part of the country.

“I explained to our guest that we do not have a problem of migrant crisis, but of crisis in our state institutions. I reiterated that, even after two years, we do not have a strategy to tackle this issue, nor to coordinate all participants in the process. Una-Sana Canton is still left on its own when it comes to migrant issue, which is unacceptable,” said Ružnić.

The Deputy Commander of NATO Headquarters in BiH also visited members of the BiH Armed Forces, stationed in Bihać.
