SARAJEVO, October 9 (FENA) - Employment Strategy in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina's for the period 2018-2021, which was submitted to the Parliament by the FBiH Government, did not receive a majority of votes at today's session of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament.

45 deputies voted in favor of the strategy, 37 against and two abstained.

During the discussion, the majority of opposition members discussed that this document is flawed and that it is not following the development component of the Federation of BiH, and that it does not contain a vision of development and employment in the IT sector as the most promising area especially for young people.

According to them, the proposed strategy should have been returned to the FBiH Government for review.

FBiH Minister of Labor and Social Policy Vesko Drljača explained that the adoption of entity employment strategies conditioned a strategy of this kind at the state level, i.e. 'withdrawal' of EUR 20 million.

Last year the FBiH government approved a strategy for the period 2018-2021 which, in his words, wanted to make a step forward from the previous one.

Young people were singled out as a separate category, added Drljača, and the goal of the proposed activities and measures was defined - to create a dominant incentive environment for employment.

Unlike the proposed employment strategy, the MPs approved, with almost no discussion, a report on the FBiH budget execution for last year.
