SARAJEVO, October 9 (FENA) - Bosnia and Herzegovina's Defense Minister Marina Pendeš received today in an official visit the French Military Attaché, Brigadier Laurent Vonderscher.
They discussed military cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and France at the meeting, which was also attended by Assistant Minister of Defense for International Cooperation Zoran Šajinović and Deputy Head of Mission of the French Embassy in BiH Xavier Rouard.
Vonderscher outlined priorities in his term and expressed confidence that mutual cooperation would be further developed. They discussed international peacekeeping missions, military training, joint military exercises, plans for the modernization of the BiH Armed Forces and cooperation with the military industry.
Pendeš emphasized her satisfaction with the activities so far, and especially expressed her gratitude for France's assistance in organizing annual pilgrimages of AFBiH members of the Catholic faith at the Marian shrine in French Lourdes.
Military Attaché of the Republic of France to BiH is non-resident, based in the French Embassy in the Republic of Serbia, the BiHMoD Public Relations Office stated.
