ZENICA, October 8 (FENA) - Miners from the first shift of the "Stranjani" pit of the Coal Mine Zenica, who initially refused to go to work this morning, have left to work but do not intend to leave the pit until the situation in Stranjani pit is resolved.
“We do not have exact data on how many miners are in the pit, but they informed us that they have entered the pit and do not intend to come out,” Acting Director of Zenica mines Edin Pašić told FENA.
He points out that they are having meetings in the company at the moment, and today at 1 pm the Management will meet with representatives of the Trade Union.
After the miners from the first shift did not work yesterday and the second shift miners entered the pit and worked, today's protests could also stop the work of the second shift. Miners are protesting because of the announced redeployment of workers from the Stranjani pit to other two facilities, "Raspotočje" and "Stara jama".
