SARAJEVO, October 3 (FENA) - Members of the Collegium of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Speaker of the House Denis Zvizdić and his deputies Nebojša Radmanović and Borjana Krišto received today the newly appointed Head of the EU Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina and EU Special Representative in BiH Ambassador Johann Sattler.
They wished Ambassador Sattler a successful mandate in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Speaker Zvizdić emphasized that relations within the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly and the Collegium are very correct, but that political relations are not satisfying yet that agreement can be reached to convene a session of this House.
He added that he will continue to advocate for full functioning of the Parliamentary Assembly as all citizens suffer equally due to the deadlock in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He emphasized the problem of non-adoption of the budget and he said that due to this numerous socio-economic reforms were not implemented and that 45 financial agreements are awaiting for its ratification, adding that about one billion euros are blocked for capital, mostly large-scale infrastructure development projects.
Ambassador Sattler stressed during the talks that the high level of consent of domestic politicians when it comes to joining the European Union is very important for the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He also recalled on the Opinion of the European Commission on Bosnia and Herzegovina's application for EU membership and 14 key priorities set out in that document, and noted that one of his priorities would be to work on an action plan to fulfill them, stated BiH PA.
