SARAJEVO, October 1 (FENA) - The BiH Presidency Chairman Željko Komšić received today representatives of the Radio Sarajevo news portal.
Chairman Komšić condemned all kinds of pressures and attacks on journalists, including attacks on the editorial office of the news portal Radio Sarajevo, and expressed support for the freedom of the press.
Komšić said that media freedoms are one of the fundamental pillars of democracy, and that state institutions should not allow anyone to question them.
During the meeting, the collocutors discussed the overall state of media freedoms in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Chairman Komšić expressed readiness to support the request of the journalists regarding the amendment of the law according to which an attack on a journalist would be treated as an attack on an official person.
The editorial staff of Radio Sarajevo thanked the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the invitation and for his support, the BiH Presidency said.
