SARAJEVO, October 1 (FENA) - Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency Chairman Željko Komšić received representatives of Alliance of BiH Associations from the Kingdom of Sweden.
Alliance President Kenan Jašarspahić briefed Komšić on the activities of the Alliance, which brings together BiH associations from all parts of the Kingdom of Sweden.
The aim of this Alliance is to nurture and preserve Bosnia and Herzegovina's tradition, culture and language in diaspora, as well as to work for successful integration of citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina into Swedish society.
The interlocutors also discussed friendly relations between the Kingdom of Sweden and Bosnia and Herzegovina, home to some eighty thousand citizens of BiH. The community of BiH citizens is one of the best integrated communities in the Kingdom of Sweden, and that is why maintaining relations between the two countries is very important.
Komšić commended the work of the Alliance, saying that its activities are going in this direction and are of great social importance for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“Our culture and tradition should be passed on from generation to generation, bring young people from Bosnia and Herzegovina, who live outside the borders of their country, closer to the connection with their homeland and their BiH identity,” said Komšić.
