FIPA - Possible relocation of some Japanese companies to BiH

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, September 30 (FENA) - Director of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA) in BiH Gordan Milinić spoke today in Sarajevo with representative of FIPA in Japan Shigehiko Nishihama on the improvement of Japan's investment in BiH and affirmation of BiH as foreign destination investments.

Nishihama informed Milinić of his efforts to promote BiH to Japanese businessmen to invest, contribute to BiH wine exports, and to promote BiH tourism.

“He considers that several Japanese companies currently operating in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary could relocate their plants to Bosnia and Herzegovina, noting that Japanese precision machinery company "Tsubaki Nakashima" which was operating in Central Europe in 2017 took over the company TN Bosnia d.o.o Konjic. This example could serve other investors to invest in BiH,” the BiH Foreign Investment Promotion Agency stated.

Nishihama also believes that several more BiH products could be found on the Japanese market, including honey.
