Austrian troops arrive for EUFOR's Exercise Quick Response 19

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, September 27 (FENA) - More than 100 Austrian soldiers from the EUFOR's Austrian reserve forces arrived at Butmir Base today for EUFOR's largest annual exercise "Quick Response 19 ".

Austrian soldiers were greeted by EUFOR Deputy Chief of Staff Lieutenant Colonel Manfred Leitner who stressed that "Quick Response 2019" will be held throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Austrian troops join other soldiers of the EUFOR reserve forces from Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania and the United Kingdom, which together make only a small fraction of the total reserve force that EUFOR can deploy.

This exercise is an annual check of EUFOR's ability to rapidly strengthen its forces in BiH, using part of its high-readiness reserve forces in partner countries.

The exercise will be held in cooperation with BiH authorities, BiH Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies across locations across BiH from October 7 to 11, EUFOR stated.
