SARAJEVO, September 26 (FENA) - The situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, primarily addressing socio-economic issues, should not suffer due to politicians’ disagreement such as the issue of bringing the country closer to NATO integration.

This is an essential message, after today's meeting of the members of the Collegium of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, that two members of the Collegium, leaders of the Party of Democratic Action and the Croatian Democratic Union of BiH, Bakir Izetbegović and Dragan Čović stated.

"The goal is better cooperation that would reduce problems in the current crisis," Izetbegović said.

As for the (non) formation of new government in BiH after the elections held almost a year ago, the solution according to Izetbegović is the implementation of August 5 Agreement "and we expect that a potential chairman for a new convocation of the BiH Council of Ministers to propose a work plan".

According to Bakir Izetbegović, the goal is to adopt a state-level budget, unblock the work of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly and ensure prompt implementation of various decisions related to the country's economy and construction of infrastructure.

All that requires third partner, in this case the leader of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats, Milorad Dodik, and Izetbegović hopes, as he said, a cooperative or more resilient, approach by the party that has shown rigid rhetoric and ultimatums, so far.

As the outcome of today's meeting, Dragan Čović stated the need for all topics of economic and social character to be present on a daily basis so that decisions of the Council of Ministers and Parliament would not have to wait for issues of this kind.

Čović said that BiH Council of Ministers Chairman Denis Zvizdić warned that there are many decisions of a financial nature "waiting", adding that problems should be resolved "at the 24-hour level".

Today's meeting, hosted by Dragan Čović, was held at the BiH Parliamentary Assembly. In addition to members of the Collegium of the House of Peoples, also leaders of the two parties, the meeting was attended by Denis Zvizdić, Halid Genjac and Edin Ramić, and from the Croatian Democratic Union of BiH Marinko Čavara, Vjekoslav Bevanda and Lidija Bradar.
