SHF 2019 - BiH and Malaysian companies sign Memoranda of Understanding

SARAJEVO, September 26 (FENA) – Not long after the opening ceremony of the Sarajevo Halal Fair 2019 (SHF), two valuable contracts were signed between BiH and Malaysian companies.

Rusmir Hrvić, CEO of AS Group and CEO Abd Aziz Bin Abd Rahim of Malaysian Perak Halal Corporation Sdn Bhd signed a Memorandum of Understanding specifying that an initial investment contract of 20 million euros in chicken and eggs production at Agrocommerce plants will be signed within 60 days.

The intention is to make much larger investments in the next phase, which would create the preconditions for establishing one of the leading technology companies in the food industry on the principles of halal production with products intended for the market of BiH, the region, the EU and the East.

The representatives of the companies have already made initial consultations, and with the signed Memorandum of Understanding, they are paving the way for the next steps and are committed to starting realization in the next 60 days.

The importance of this investment is all the greater given that the partner is one of the leading manufacturers in Malaysia which is a leader in the halal industry with extremely technologically advanced knowledge that it plans to implement in this investment in BiH.

Another Memorandum of Understanding worth 5 million US dollars was signed by Enver Avdić, CEO of ESOF and Kairul Azman, general manager of Malaysian Marybrown, a chain of halal-certified fast-food restaurants in 138 locations in Malaysia, BBI Bank said.
