SARAJEVO, September 25 (FENA) - Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Council of Ministers Chairman Denis Zvizdić reiterated in Sarajevo today that it is necessary to restore good neighborly relations, reminding that BiH has never interfered in the internal affairs of other countries.
He stressed that there was no recorded statement from a BiH official saying what a state should do internally, and that the same approach is expected of them.
It is of the opinion that on the basis of mutual understanding, respect for the sovereignty, integrity and subjectivity of each state, it is necessary to create mutual relations.
He recalled that all Western Balkan countries aspire to membership in the European Union, which is why it is necessary to respect all international standards, and a key role in mutual relations is that states do not interfere in the internal affairs of other countries.
“Any dialogue is welcome because it is the only way to find the right solutions, but everyone must know that the early times of tutelage are behind us and no one needs to have a paternalistic attitude towards BiH and such things are unacceptable,” Zvizdić emphasized.
He argued that good inter-state relations were more important to him than insisting on relations between peoples, since he was the basic holder of sovereignty in accordance with the Convention on Human Rights and Freedoms of Citizens.
“We want to have relations with other countries as states, not one nation with another nation, individual nations or individuals among themselves,” Zvizdić concluded.
