Remains of Bosniak victims found near Prijedor

SARAJEVO, September 23 (FENA) - An exhumation process has begun in the area of Rizvanovići, near Prijedor, and the on-site team has found mortal remains, which are believed to be of Bosniak victims from the area.

The process of exhumation is done under the warrant of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH,  as well as the staff of the Institute for Missing Persons (INO) of BiH, forensic physician, representatives of the Civil Protection, and police officers of the RS MoI who secure the exhumation site.

The process of exhumation and search for remains continues, and upon completion of the exhumation, the remains will be sent for further processing and identification of the missing persons through DNA identification, the Prosecutor's Office of BiH announced.

Also, an exhumation process was carried out in the area of the cemetery Rakita in Vlasenica during which complete remains of one person were found at a location outside the graves.

The remains will be transferred to the Tuzla Commemoration Center for further anthropological processing and sampling to determine the identity of the victims through DNA analysis.
