Čavara: BiH has future only by consensus of constituent peoples

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, September 23 (FENA) - Commenting on the current political situation in the Federation of BiH and BiH, President of the Federation of BiH and HDZ BiH Vice-President Marinko Čavara, said it was obvious that potential political partners are moving away from the agreement and said it is necessary to return to compromise and agreement.

"Due to the unwillingness of the so-called civic parties to implement the decisions of the Court of BiH, that is, to ensure legitimate representation of the constituent peoples and after the election of two Bosniak members of the BiH Presidency, obstruction and formation of the BiH Council of Ministers continued," Čavara said, adding that crises are constantly being produced, tensions are raised, new affairs are made, and all of that block the formation of government, as well as progress and functioning of BiH.

”New political crisis was triggered by the SDA Program Declaration, which essentially showed the SDA's commitment to dangerous changes to the existing constitutional order and a desire to regulate the state of BiH according to the most numerous people contrary to the existing system, as defined in the Washington and Dayton Agreement," he added.

"HDZ BiH is committed to implementing all decisions of the Constitutional Court, maintaining the constitutional and legal order establishing peace in BiH, urgent establishment of government at the state level in accordance with election results and necessary amendment of the Election Law in accordance with the Decision of the Constitutional Court," stated the FBiH President.
