BiH exports decreased by 2.3 percent, imports increased by 2.4 percent

SARAJEVO, September 20 (FENA) - Bosnia and Herzegovina exported goods worth seven billion and 639 million KM in the period January-August this year, which is 2.3 percent less than in the same period in 2018, while imports amounted to 12 billion and 993 million KM, which is an increase by 2.4 percent

The BiH Statistics Agency announced that the import-export ratio amounted to 58.8 percent, while the foreign trade deficit amounted to 5 billion and 354 million KM.

Exports to CEFTA countries amounted to 1 billion and 239 million KM, which is an increase by 0.9 percent, while imports amounted to 1 billion and 558 million KM, which is 2.1 percent more than in the same period of 2018.

The import-export ratio with CEFTA countries was 79.5 percent.  

Exports to the EU countries amounted to five billion and 652 million KM, which is 1.4 percent less than in the same period last year, while imports amounted to 8 billion and 55 million KM, which is 5.8 percent more than in the same period last year.

The import-export ratio with EU countries was 70.2 percent.
