RS NA adopts amendments to Law on Police and Internal Affairs

BANJA LUKA, September 19 (FENA) - Deputies of the Republika Srpska National Assembly (NSRS) adopted today amendments to the Law on Police and Internal Affairs, which should improve the material status of police officers who have earned the right to old-age or disability pensions.

RS Interior Minister Dragan Lukač said the act stipulates that a police officer will be assigned a personal coefficient for exercising their right to retire on the basis of the five annual salaries that are most favorable to them.

The Law on Amendments to the Companies Act was also supported by the MPs, which continues the reforms of the registration of business entities with the aim of establishing the possibility of applying for registration of incorporation and business changes electronically.

MPs also adopted amendments to the Law on Inheritance, amendments to the Law on Judicial Examination in RS, and laws on liquidation proceedings, personal name, as well as amendments to the Law on Notaries - by the urgent procedure.

Yesterday, a special session was held in the entity parliament, at which the parliamentary majority adopted the decision to dismiss Deputy Speaker Senad Bratić, although he resigned irrevocably during the day.

Of the 67 MPs present, 50 of the ruling majority parliamentarians voted in favor of this decision, none opposed, nor abstained.
