SARAJEVO, September 16 (FENA) - Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bakir Izetbegović, received today Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to BiH Margret Uebber in an inaugural visit.
During the meeting they emphasized good and friendly cooperation between Germany and Bosnia and Herzegovina and mutual intention to continue strengthening this cooperation in the future. The two officials discussed the current political situation as well.
On this occasion, Ambassador Uebber said that official Berlin is closely monitoring the situation in BiH and expressed her hope that the government would be formed as soon as possible. She stressed that Germany would continue to support the Euro-Atlantic integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina with full respect for its territorial integrity and state sovereignty.
Izetbegović emphasized that in the context of the government formation, it is necessary to fully respect the constitutional system of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the principle of the rule of law.
The interlocutors agreed that it is important to end the current deadlock in Bosnia and Herzegovina as soon as possible and to continue its reform and European path.
Ambassador Uebber congratulated Izetbegović on his reelection as President of the SDA, announced the Office of the Speaker of the House of Peoples of PABiH, the PR Office of PABiH reports.
