MOSTAR, September 12 (FENA) - Slovak Foreign Minister and OSCE Chairman Miroslav Lajčak said on Thursday in Mostar that BiH's first task on its European path is to form the BiH Council of Ministers.
In an interview with the President of HNS BiH and the HDZ BiH, Dragan Čović, he pointed out that there is no European path until government is formed in BiH and that there will be no dialogue without that.
“The first task of BiH on the European path is the formation of the Council of Ministers. If there is no government, there is no dialogue,” said Lajčak in Mostar, where he was awarded the title of Doctor Honoris Causa at the University of Mostar.
He recalled that the European Union is in the process of adopting new strategy related to the Balkans.
“America has appointed its Special Representative, the EU is forming a new commission and the new High Representative (for Foreign Affairs) must present a new strategy. I will have an appointment with him very soon, therefore it was very important for me to get information on the situation. My view is that the EU should be more apparent and present in this area,” said Lajčak.
