SARAJEVO, September 12 (FENA) - A delegation of businessmen from the United Arab Emirates and Oman, led by Sheik Mussallam Salem Bin Ham, owner of the Bin Ham Group, visited the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of BiH (FIPA) to learn about conditions and opportunities to invest in our country.
Founded 43 years ago, Bin Ham Group operates in the fields of oil, energy, electronics and mechanics, construction, as well as agriculture and tourism. Since it plans to expand its business abroad, BiH has been selected as one of the possible destinations for investment, especially in the area of animal food production and tourism.
Since it is their first visit to our country, FIPA Director Gordan Milinić welcomed the businessmen to BiH and thanked them for the visit, pointing out that investments from the UAE are welcome in BiH.
In order to get a better picture of business opportunities in BiH, a presentation was held on investment opportunities with focus on business environment, the benefits of investing in BiH, attractive sectors such as tourism, energy, metal processing, agriculture and food production, textiles and ICT.
When it comes to foreign investments in BiH, it was pointed out that the UAE is ranked 15th in the list of foreign investors, with 102 million euros invested, and that the most significant investors are Zeraa Investment, Emirates d.o.o. and BBI.
The investor was also informed about the steps and conditions for starting a business and establishing a company, conditions of business, status of foreign investors, etc., FIPA stated.
