SARAJEVO, September 11 (FENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Igor Crnadak received today in an inaugural visit Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to BiH Margret Maria Uebber.
Crnadak expressed satisfaction with the level of bilateral relations between BiH and Germany, and stressed that relations between the two countries are excellent and friendly.
He thanked Germany for its continued support and assistance to Bosnia and Herzegovina in its path towards European integration, emphasizing that BiH's foreign policy priority is to become a member of the European Union.
Speaking about the formation of the government in BiH, Minister Crnadak said that this process is taking too long, which causes many problems in functioning of institutions at the level of BiH.
He expressed his hope that government will soon be formed so that BiH could continue to implement the recommendations of the European Commission Opinion more effectively.
Uebber thanked Minister Crnadak for the welcome and emphasized that Germany strongly supports BiH's European perspective, and that it will continue to actively support the implementation of reforms in the country.
The interlocutors assessed that European integration bring to Bosnia and Herzegovina and its citizens a better quality of life in terms of greater employment, better economy, respect for human rights and advancement in field of democracy and the rule of law, especially in the fight against corruption.
They also exchanged views on economic cooperation between BiH and Germany, the issue of young people's departure from BiH, further strengthening of regional cooperation within the Berlin Process and the Western Balkan Six (WB6), as well as issues of global importance, the BiH Foreign Ministry stated.
