MOSTAR, September 11 (FENA) - Museum of War and Genocide Victims 1992-1995 together with the mothers of Srebrenica, organized a peaceful gathering in Mostar on the plateau in front of the Museum, followed by a protest walk to commemorate and honor the victims of the Srebrenica genocide.
Srebrenica mothers gather in Tuzla on the 11th every month, searching for truth about the crimes and fate of their loved ones, as well as punishing criminals. This month in Mostar they were given the opportunity to commemorate the victims of genocide with Mostar citizens.
“This is our pilot project, and this activity should be carried out every month in another city in order to spread the truth about what happened in Srebrenica and Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Jasmin Mešković told reporters on behalf of the organizer.
President of Association “Women of Srebrenica”, Hajra Ćatić, expressed her satisfaction with the invitation to mark this date in Mostar and expressed her wish that tragedy of Srebrenica, as well as the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina, be presented in other cities as well.
The walk was supported by many educational institutions, organizations and associations from Mostar.
