Husić: Miners tired an exhausted, four of them transported for treatment

SARAJEVO, September 11 (FENA) - The president of the Federation of Independent Mines Workers Union, Sinan Husić, said that the miners, who are on a hunger strike in the pits of the Coal Mine in Zenica, are tired and exhausted, and an ambulance was called in overnight and four miners were transported for medical treatment.

“The people are tired and exhausted and I am afraid that we may have even more serious cases based on their physical and mental state. As of yesterday, at 15.00 hours, the workers' started a hunger strike at the Old Cave and Stranjani, and since the morning, we have a hunger strike in the third Raspotočje facility,” Husić told FENA, adding that there were between 150 and 200 miners in the pits.

Representatives of the Miners' Union announced that they could go on a general strike from September 13, and they would do so if their salaries are not paid.
