Osmanović-Rousson: Introducing European values in education important

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, September 9 (FENA) - Bosnia and Herzegovina's Minister of Civil Affairs, Adil Osmanović, talked with French Ambassador to BiH Guillaume Rousson in Sarajevo on co-operation in areas within the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Civil Affairs.

Education was specifically discussed and it was jointly assessed that one of the priorities was the introduction of European values into the education systems. Ambassador Rousson emphasized that France, through the Presidency of the Council of Europe, which began in May this year, would make a contribution in this regard.

Minister Osmanović said it was important for the Western Balkans to embrace European values, given that difficult events of the past were still straining relations between the nationalities.

“Minister Osmanović and Ambassador Rousson also discussed the need for the formation of government in Bosnia and Herzegovina as soon as possible. They expressed concern about the current situation and stressed the expectation that a solution would be found as soon as possible to continue the necessary reforms on BiH's European path,” the BiH Ministry of Civil Affairs said.
