Exhumation process continues in the Derventa area

SARAJEVO, September 5 (FENA) - An exhumation process has been underway at the site of the cemetery in Derventa municipality since the early morning hours, overseen and coordinated by an investigator with the Special Department for War Crimes of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.

At that location, remains of at least six persons have been exhumed so far, and the exhumation process continues in the following days.

The remains found will be transported to the Šejkovača Identification Center in Sanski Most, where forensic and criminal-technical processing will be performed and bone samples will be taken to determine the identity of the victims through DNA analysis.

Officials from the Institute for Missing Persons of BiH, a forensic specialist as well as police officers from Derventa police station are involved in the exhumation process, stated the State Prosecutor's Office.
