SARAJEVO, September 5 (FENA) – English-made air bomb found this morning on the site of Bingo shopping mall (the location of the former Energoinvest wire factory in Sarajevo), was successfully deactivated.

Diretor of the FBiH Civil Protection Administration (FUCZ) Fahrudin Solak told FENA that it was 500-kg bomb, of great destructive power, which was danger to all citizens living in this area.

Solak specifies that any transport, or operation of bomb with unsecured lighter would require the evacuation of population of at least two kilometers in diameter.

Since everything has been successfully done, there is no longer any danger to the population, and the remaining activities are to move the bomb to storage, and then, after appropriate preparations, destroy the bomb at the FUCZ test site.

As FENA learned earlier from the FUCZ, it was an air bomb dropped on the site during World War II, most likely in November 1944.
