EAST SARAJEVO, September 2 (FENA) - The entity of RS Prime Minister Radovan Višković claims that the appointment of the US Special Representative for the Western Balkans Matthew Palmer "means nothing to Republika Srpska".
“It doesn't mean anything. Whoever gets to be in charge it means nothing to us. We know the United States’ attitude towards this region, and I don't think we should waste too much time or energy on it. We should do our job, and they should do theirs,” Višković told reporters in East Sarajevo today.
He announced a recomposing of the RS government but did not specify any details.
Višković also said that the amount of 25 million euros allocated by Serbia to RS “serves as direct support to the budget and that this would in some way represent compensation for the funds from indirect tax blocked by the Federation of BiH.”
He claims that “the Federation of BiH at the moment owes about 50 million KM from the VAT and excise tax to RS".
“We will certainly collect this money with interest at some point. This now comes to us as a form of savings account, although by now, in terms of investments, we would know what to do with this money because we have projects ready for implementation,” said Višković.
