SARAJEVO, August 28 (FENA) - This year, thirteen young people from Bosnia and Herzegovina will travel to prestigious universities in the UK to attend master studies and are obliged to return to Bosnia and Herzegovina after completing their education, where they will be able to use the newly acquired knowledge.

The scholarship covers tuition, travel and living expenses, and this year's students will study a whole range of courses, including law, psychology, economics, international development management, digital archeology, corporate social responsibility, music industry management, media and communications, and architecture.

Chevening scholarship program has been implemented in BiH since 1996. So far, more than 200 young Bosnians have received their diplomas from acclaimed UK institutions.

Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Bosnia and Herzegovina, H.E. Matthew Field said this is by far the largest number of scholarship recipients to attend one-year postgraduate courses at universities in London, Glasgow, Manchester, Sussex and Durham.

Ambassador Field called on young people from BiH to take this opportunity and apply for Chevening scholarship because the next one is open until November 5, and he emphasizes that this program is not only an investment for personal progress, but also for the progress of the country.

Zlatko Gerin and Aida Hadžić completed their master studies in the UK in the previous years, and they came back to BiH with new knowledge and skills, met new people and became part of network of students from all over the world who also participated in the master studies through this program.

They said to all future students to take this opportunity to learn from the best educational program and to connect with other students, which would greatly benefit them.

Elvira Jukić-Mujkić, Aida Mia Alić and Duško Milojević, who are going to the UK this school year, said it is a great opportunity to acquire new knowledge, meet new people, but also get to know a completely different way of life.

The Chevening Program has existed since 1983, with scholars coming from more than 160 countries.
