SARAJEVO, August 23 (FENA) – “We did everything we planned and I believe this was the best edition of the Sarajevo Film Festival (SFF) in the number of films, guests, public’s interest. We also had a great time and atmosphere in the city,” SFF director Mirsad Purivatra told FENA summarizing this year's festival edition.
Purivatra also emphasized that this year the Festival continued to expand, and films were also screened in more municipalities than before.
“It makes us happy, I think we've done a lot on that movie-going culture. Enjoying this unique event of watching a movie together with other people is definitely something that was new for people here,” Purivatra pointed out, adding that on behalf of the entire Festival team, he can say that they are satisfied with the work they have done.
SFF Director considers the initiative, which has been directed to different levels of government and with the help of which BiH film industry, with additional funding, would be stabilized is the most significant part from this year's edition.
“This would mean that in the next three to five years we could have a stable annual production of three to five films and five TV series,” Purivatra said, noting that the Sarajevo Canton had already approved the incentives.
Director of the Sarajevo Film Festival Mirsad Purivatra stresses that he is already starting work on the next festival edition, which he will try to be even better.
