SARAJEVO, August 23 (FENA) - The award ceremony closes the competition program of the 25th Sarajevo Film Festival (SFF) at a ceremony at the National Theater. Film "Take Me Somewhere Nice" by Ena Sendijarević won “Heart of Sarajevo Award” for best feature film.
Turkish director Emin Alper for "A Tale of Three Sisters" won "Heart of Sarajevo" for best director.
Irini Jambonas won “Heart of Sarajevo” for best actress for her role in the film “Rounds” and the Award for best actor went to Levan Gelbakhiani for the film “And Then We Danced”.
Film “When the Persimmons Grew” (Azerbaijan, Austria) by Hilal Bayadarov won “Heart of Sarajevo” for best documentary film, and “Stack of Material” (Bosnia and Herzegovina) by Sajra Subašić won Special Jury Prize, while the film “The Euphoria of Being” (Hungary) by Réka Szabó won “Human Rights Award”.
"The Last Image of Father" (Croatia, Serbia, Greece) by director Stefan Ðorđević won “Heart of Sarajevo” for the best short film, and "The Last Trip to the Seaside" (Romania), directed by Adi Voicu won the special jury mention award.
"Sherbet" (Serbia), directed by Nikola Stojanović won "Heart of Sarajevo" for best student film.
On the last festival day, on Friday, August 23, awards will be presented in all categories.
The jubilee edition of the festival brought a total of 270 movies screened in 18 programs from 56 countries. A total of 68 films made their world premieres.
