MOSTAR, August 19 (FENA) - President of the Main Council of the Croat National Assembly (HNS) of BiH, Božo Ljubić, said that signing the Agreement on Principles for the Formation of Government of SDA, SNSD and HDZ BiH leaders is an important step.
“After nine months of blockade, the formation of government at the state level can finally be seen. What I consider most important for the Croatian position are the signed principles that are absolutely in the wake of the decisions of the Croat National Assembly. Namely, the signed agreement explicitly supports measures of BiH's path to the European Union and NATO, which is also the policy of the HNS. It is good that the election winners recognized the compromise solutions and the international officials the importance of the agreement. It is time for Bosnia and Herzegovina to demonstrate political responsibility and democratic maturity against a lack of commitment to integration processes,” said Ljubić.
He hopes that different interpretation of the agreement would not delay the formation of the government.
Ljubić also commented on BiH's Euro-Atlantic path, saying that a commitment to joining Euro-Atlantic associations is an indispensable element in the vision of a developed and modern BiH.
He added that the Croat people in Bosnia and Herzegovina and its political representatives are strongly committed to further integration and membership of the European Union and NATO, it is said in a statement.
