SARAJEVO, August 18 (FENA) – First group of BiH Hajj pilgrims, 138 of them from Sarajevo, arrived from Medina to the Sarajevo International Airport yesterday where they were welcomed by their families and friends.
The Head of the Islamic Community’s Office of Hajj and Umrah muderris Nezim ef. Halilović told FENA that the Hajj pilgrims left Mecca to Medina and then departed to Sarajevo at 05.20 AM local time.
“Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah issued a confirmation of the term of all twelve flights for our Hajj pilgrims," he said.
There will be four flights organized today and on Monday, and one flight is planned for Tuesday and Wednesday, ending the arrival of all Hajj pilgrims to BiH.
The fifth sacred duty of each Muslim, the Hajj, was performed by 1.680 believers from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
