Zvizdić meets with NATO HQ Sarajevo Commander

SARAJEVO, August 14 (FENA) – Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Denis Zvizdić, today met with NATO Commander in Sarajevo, Brigadier General Marti J. Bissell, and informed her on the priorities of the BiH Council of Ministers and the achievement of goals on the path to Euro-Atlantic integration.

Zvizdić expressed his appreciation for the commitment and assistance NATO provided to Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially in the areas of improvement of the Armed Forces of BiH, as well as for helping to combat the consequences of natural and other disasters. He also emphasized the security and economic importance of NATO integration for BiH, specifically in ensuring peace and stability, attracting foreign investment, economic development and job creation and, consequently, stopping the outflow of young people.

In particular, he underlined the obligation to respect the rule of law and preserve the international credibility of the BiH institutions in the implementation of legal commitments on the path of the EU and NATO integration processes of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which have no alternative.

Brigadier General Bissell said that NATO is committed to a strong partnership with BiH and that they will continue to assist in any segment that is important to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Meeting was also attended by Deputy Commander, Colonel Morten Henriksen, Council of Ministers of BiH stated.
