SARAJEVO, August 13 (FENA) – More than 713,745 tourists visited Bosnia and Herzegovina between January and June 2019, which is more than 11,8 percent compared to the same period last year.
The number of overnight stays of domestic tourists increased by 7,9 percent in the first half of the year, while the number of overnight stays of foreign tourists increased by 13.6 percent compared to the same period in 2018. Domestic tourists accounted for 30.4 percent of all overnight stays, while foreign tourists 69.6 percent.
Most tourists to visit BiH were tourists from Croatia (16.5 percent), Serbia (10.9 percent), Slovenia (5.8 percent), China (5.3 percent), Germany (5.2 percent), Italy (5 percent), Turkey (4.6 percent), Saudi Arabia (3.6 percent) and the United States (3 percent), which is total 59.9 percent. Tourists from other countries accounted for 40.1 percent of overnight stays, according to the BiH Agency for Statistics.
