SARAJEVO, August 13 (FENA) – Director of the FBiH Administration for Inspection Issues
Anis Ajdinović told the Federal News Agency (FENA) that overall inspection activities of the Administration are mostly focused on the most recognizable forms of the gray economy – precarious work, non-issuance of fiscal bills and work without the approval of the competent authority.
“Given that the gray economy phenomenon requires a systematic approach, inspections in this regard are conducted in coordination with the FBiH Tax Administration and cantonal inspection bodies, and practice has shown that the synchronized action of the two FBiH administrations and cantonal inspection bodies has led to significant results in imposing order concerning the rule of law,” said Ajdinović.
Ajdinović pointed out that most significant activities carried out by the Administration in the last four years are those related to the overall improvement of the situation in the border inspection sector.
He specified that this entails the implementation of the BIMS information system, the procurement of uniforms for all border inspectors, improvement of working conditions and discipline at border crossings and customs offices, establishment of more frequent inter-institutional cooperation with the FBiH Tax Administration, cantonal inspection bodies and other intensive inspection bodies in BiH, as well as adopting specific inspection control programs, and continuous implementation of inspections to fight the gray economy in the FBiH.
He announced that the Administration has already started the process of restructuring individual organizational units to enable the use of human resources more efficiently. Also, they will work on adopting updated procedures to further improve inspection standards. In this regard, they will continue to work continuously in view of normative activities, and will insist on improving legal solutions and bylaws, regulating the areas of inspection control with the relevant FBiH ministries, the Government and the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
