SARAJEVO, August 7 (FENA) – Bosnia and Herzegovina won third and fifth place at the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) World Championship in New York.
The BiH representatives achieved the fifth best team result at the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) World Championship in six categories testing the software tools. The BiH representatives won third place in the latest versions of the three MS software tools, and fifth place in the last two versions of the same tools.
More than 850,000 students between the ages of 13 and 22 from 119 countries participated at the MOS National Championship and 162 finalists from 57 countries continued onto the MOS World Championship in New York.
Representatives of BiH were Tarik Džambić (third place, Excel 2016), Sead Smailagić (fourth place, PowerPoint 2016), Amila Mujkić (ninth place, Word 2016), Almir Subašić, Amra Kodžaga i Edin Mukić. Three of them are students from Electrical Engineering School of Tuzla, one student is from the International School Richmond Park and one is from “Prva gimnazija” - grammar school, as well as from the School of Economics and Business Sarajevo.
The organizer finally published the Top 10 for all six categories out of 60 best among which three competitors from Bosnia and Herzegovina ranked. Macau ranked first, the United States of America second, Romania third, Taiwan fourth and Bosnia and Herzegovina fifth.
In the competition for three newer software packages, the 2016 version, Bosnia and Herzegovina ranked third, behind Macau and Romania.
