TUZLA, August 5 (FENA) - Today, we have put in place a good political framework that paves the way for what we will do for the next three, four years, and contains in fact everything that this country needs,” said the President of the Party of Democratic Action Bakir Izetbegović.
Izetbegović reached an agreement with HDZ and SNSD leaders and told reporters in Tuzla that the deal concerns the path towards European Union integration, NATO, returnees, the economy, infrastructure, fight against corruption and other areas.
“Dodik has asked for a deadline of one month. We will try to unblock the work of the Parliamentary Assembly, start with the formation of the new convening of the Council of Ministers and the FBiH Government and resolve other details that are not specified in today's agreement,” said Izetbegović.
He believes the deadline is short but stressed that it is realistic to meet the conditions within a period of two months.
“I expect that cooperation with NATO will continue in the defined framework because there is no going back, this process can only go faster or slower. I believe that we will have a slowed down process in the next three years, but it is important to stay on that direction, not to go outside the set framework defined by the earlier agreement,” stated Izetbegović.
Izetbegović today met with President of the Croat Democratic Union in BiH, Dragan Čović, and President of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats, Milorad Dodik, at a meeting hosted by the EU Delegation to BiH.
