Džaferović: Grabar-Kitarović’s accusations originate from the language of JCE

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, July 31 (FENA) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Šefik Džaferović stated that the latest statements made by Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic during her visit to Israel, alleging that BiH is "under the control of militant Islam" and that "BiH is run by people affiliated with Iran and terrorist organizations," represent heinous accusations that are not substantiated by any kind of evidence.

In response, Džaferović emphasized that it is clear to everyone in Europe and the world that these are "lies fabricated by the aggressive and xenophobic policies of the official Zagreb towards Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Bosniak people, which has all the elements of fascism."

“The statements of the President of the Republic of Croatia represent the same propaganda vocabulary used by convicted war criminals and leaders of the so-called ‘Herceg-Bosna’ wartime statelet, trying to justify the monstrous war crimes they committed against Bosniaks in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Instead of opting to distance herself from the recent visit of Vice President of the Croatian Parliament Milijan Brkić to a convicted war criminal Bruno Stojić in prison, as it would be expected and done by a president of every civilized country, Grabar-Kitarović however chooses to support the policies of the joint criminal enterprise (JCE), which is a real source of instability undermining peace in the region,” said the BiH Presidency member.

Džaferović urged the Croatian president to rather focus her energy and address the growing radicalization and militant neo-fascist movements in her own country, instead of dealing with other people's business and lashing out with the attacks with an intent to damage BiH's reputation internationally,” underlined the BiH Presidency.

Croatia's president Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović during a meeting yesterday with Israeli President Reuven Rivlin said that “Bosnia and Herzegovina is a very volatile country and has been taken over in some respect by people affiliated with Iran and terrorist organizations,” Croatian web portal Index.hr reported.

“The country is now under the control of militant Islam, which is dominant in determining the official attitudes,” Grabar-Kitarović said.

She estimated that Croatia has been suffering because of a migrant problem, “which is not quite similar to the one seen in Europe.”

She added that Croatia is ready to provide asylum to refugees, but also that migrants who seek a better way of life must respect international borders.

“Although almost everyone claims to be Syrian refugee, they are mostly African or Pakistani migrants trying to break through over the borders from the direction of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Grabar-Kitarovć said, Index.hr reports citing The Jerusalem Post.
