SARAJEVO, June 19 (FENA) - The Dutch Supreme Court's ruling on the co-responsibility of the state in the genocide of Bosniaks in Srebrenica is a shameful calculation with the percentage of accountability and the number of victims for which the Dutch soldiers are guilty, said BiH Presidency Member Šefik Džaferović.
As reported in a press release from the BiH Presidency's Public Relations Office, Dutch soldiers were responsible but also obliged to protect all UN Safe Areas in Srebrenica and they had a United Nations mandate.
“Therefore, they are also responsible for all victims, not just for the 350 who they have expelled from their camp and surrendered to the hands of Mladić and Karadžić. This responsibility is complete and cannot be expressed in percentages,” Džaferović said.
He stressed that he gave recognition to Srebrenica's mothers and families of victims to research in search of truth and justice.
“From the position of a member of the BiH Presidency I will continue to provide them with every form of support, and so to continue the process before the International Court for Human Rights in Strasbourg,” said Džaferović.
