Izetbegović - Pósa: Support of Hungary towards BiH's EU and NATO path

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, July 18 (FENA) - The Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH and SDA President Bakir Izetbegović received a visit of Hungary's Ambassador to BiH, Krisztiána Pósa.

It has been concluded that the relations between the countries are good and without open issues, and that Hungary regards BiH as its honorary neighbor, although these two countries are not touching the border.

Ambassador Pósa handed Izetbegović an invitation of Hungary's National Assembly Speaker Lászlo Kövér to attend the 9th Session of the Southeast European Parliament Speakers' Summit on Enlargement of the European Union, to be held on 30 October in Budapest.

Hungary is interested in strengthening economic cooperation with BiH, especially through investment in the banking and energy sectors, the SDA Public Relations Department said.

Hungary strongly advocates that BiH becomes an EU member as soon as possible.
