Šarović - Hartmann: Successful economic cooperation between BiH and Austria

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, July 18 (FENA) - The growth of export from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Austria has been steadily increasing over the past three years, and the export-import ratio reached a record 155 percent, emphasized today at the meeting of Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Mirko Šarović and Ambassador of Austria in BiH, Ulrike Hartmann.

Minister Šarović stressed that in the past year, Bosnia and Herzegovina exported goods worth more than one billion KM in Austria.

“It is very important that we do not export the raw products in Austria, but these are goods and components, mainly in the field of metal industry, behind which is a lot of knowledge and work of domestic companies,” said Minister Šarović.

Welcoming the dynamic and successful cooperation between the two countries, Ambassador Hartmann emphasized that Austria imports more from Bosnia and Herzegovina than it exports to our country.

This does not create difficulties for this country, because there is significant number of Austrian investors and companies represented in Bosnia and Herzegovina, stated the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH.
