SARAJEVO, July 15 (FENA) – The Chair of the 73rd session of the General Assembly of the United Nations Maria Fernanda Espinosa received today the permanent representative of BiH at the United Nations, Ambassador Sven Alkalaj.
Alkalaj stressed the commitment of BiH for successful cooperation with the United Nations, stressing the importance of multilateralism, especially in the prevention of conflict, as well as conflict and post conflict situations.
At the meeting, they stressed the importance of respecting and being consistent in the implementation of the UN Charter, as well as the role of the UN, which must be committed to developing cooperation in the world.
Chair Espinosa welcomed Ambassador Alkalaj and expressed the expectation that their cooperation will be at a high level, said the Public Relations Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH.
She emphasized the good cooperation she had with Bosnia and Herzegovina and praised the participation of BiH in peacekeeping missions, especially emphasizing that a large percentage of BiH women are part of these missions.
