Erdogan visits Kovači cemetery and the grave of Alija Izetbegović

SARAJEVO, July 8 (FENA) - President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan visited today the Kovači cemetery in Sarajevo and the grave of the first president of the BiH Presidency, Alija Izetbegović.

Together with the BiH Presidency member Šefik Džaferović and President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Bakir Izetbegović, Erdogan laid flowers at the central memorial and on the grave of Alija Izetbegović.

A group of citizens originating from Turkey welcomed Erdogan and he briefly talked with some of them after visiting the cemetery.

Erdogan is on a two-day visit to BiH, taking part in the SEECP Summit chaired by Bosnia and Herzegovina.
