SARAJEVO, July 7 (FENA) - Messages at the Poznan Summit were very positive, not only for Bosnia and Herzegovina but also for the region of the Western Balkans. Once again, the European perspective of the countries of the Western Balkans has been reaffirmed, regardless of the prioritization of the steps taken by some countries, said Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Denis Zvizdić in Sarajevo after returning from the Polish city of Poznan, where he led the delegation of BiH at the Summit on the Western Balkans.

In the statement of the Prime Minister of Poland, added Zvizdić, it was very clearly indicated that this perspective is alive and clear, positive in every sense, promising for all the six countries in the region of the Western Balkans, and the dynamic of accession for each country individually depends on themselves.

"What is important to us is to continue to work on the implementation of reforms, accepting European values, and in the case of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the realization of 14 key recommendations from the European Commission's Opinion.

These recommendations bring us closer to European values, this means accepting European principles and from that moment on we can say that from the Dayton phase, BIH would enter the so-called Brussels phase, which is the phase of accepting the legal principles, acquisitions and norms of the EU, as the key objective of this Council of Ministers, and I hope for the next and for all the future governments in BiH," Zvizdić pointed out at a press conference he held on Saturday in Sarajevo.

He assessed that the Summit was extremely constructive and dedicated to all topics related to the European perspective and the future of the Western Balkans. The participants discussed the strengthening of regional cooperation, trust, but also about problems, CEFTA, and unilaterally imposed fees by Kosovo.

Zvizdić said that BiH has so far received EUR 180 million, and at this summit, almost 97 million euros of grants which is the assistance that has helped to create 25,000 new jobs.

"We really prepared well. BiH received more than 50 percent of the total grant, mostly for infrastructure projects, and above all, for the important sections on the Corridor Vc - said Zvizdić.

He also noted that the countries also adopted several declarations, primarily on the recognition of academic qualifications in the Western Balkans, which is particularly important for labor mobility. Also, the Memorandum on the Establishment of an International Institute for Sustainable Technologies in Southeast Europe was voted, and the seat of the Institute will be in Montenegro.
