TEŠANJ, July 3 (FENA) - The EU Working Group on the Western Balkans (COWEB), along with the Head of the Delegation of the European Union and EU Special Representative to Bosnia and Herzegovina Lars Gunnar Wigemark, visited Tešanj today.
The COWEB delegation met with Mayor of Tešanj and Teslić municipalities Suad Huskić and Milan Miličevi, and the meeting was also attended by business people from these two municipalities.
Tešnjan Mayor pointed out that the municipality, its citizens and institutions give full support to the process of Bosnia and Herzegovina's accession and membership to the European Union and added that they expect stronger support from the member states.
“Bosnia and Herzegovina is part of Europe and we want to be members of the European Union,” said Huskić.
Mayors of Tešanj and Teslić pointed out the successful cooperation of local communities and the need for further support for such cooperation, while business people also pointed to the difficulties they have in doing business and the challenges they face for future development.
They expressed their commitment and support to the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The EU representatives expressed their content with the meeting in Tešanj.
The working group consists of representatives of all 28 EU member states and representatives of some of the EU institutions.
