SARAJEVO, June 21 (FENA) - President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA), Bakir Izetbegović, told reporters in Sarajevo today that, as far as the formation of a new government is concerned, things are simple, a compromise must be reached regarding NATO membership of BiH.
“Nobody has given up on anything, they all have to find a middle ground which would be to send annual plans in the manner defined by law and strategies,” said Izetbegović.
Asked if it was certain that the Chairman of the BiH Council of Ministers would be appointed over the next seven, eight days, he replied that “if the Chairman of the Council of Ministers offers a solution based on such a compromise, why not.”
“Our goal was to eliminate the stalemate in the work of the Council of Ministers of BiH and the FBiH Government, until the new government and the Council of Ministers are appointed. I think that we have succeeded and that some misunderstandings can be solved here, for example, appointing the Director of the Police Directorate,” said Izetbegović.
