Turnover in tourism and accommodation sector in FBiH increased by 17 percent

SARAJEVO, May 27 (FENA) - In the first quarter of 2019, compared to the fourth quarter of 2018, the total seasonally adjusted turnover in hotels and restaurants in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina increased by 3.8 percent.

The growth of revenues in accommodation sector in FBiH in the first quarter of this year was higher by 5.2 percent compared to the fourth quarter of 2018, according to the data from the FBiH Statistics Institute.

In the first three months of this year, turnover in the sector of food and beverage services increased by 2.2 percent, compared to the fourth quarter of 2018.

The calendar-adjusted total turnover in hotels and restaurants in the first quarter of 2019 recorded an increase of 17 percent compared to the first quarter of last year.

Turnover in the sector of accommodation was 24 percent higher than the turnover in the same quarter of 2018.
