SARAJEVO, May 26 (FENA) – Minister of Issues of Veterans and Disabled Veterans of Defensive-Liberation War Salko Bukvarević told FENA that Government of the Federation of BiH introduced a Bill on demobilized soldiers to the Parliament in expedited procedure.

He hopes that both houses could be in extraordinary session the next month and approve the law which should start implementation on July 1.

"Most important is for this law to go along with proposal of budget rebalance for this year to secure lacking funds of 15 million KM so that veterans in need could start getting their allowances for July. It takes 50 million KM for implementation of the law on the annual level," said Bukvarević.

He said he expects all deputies and delegates to support the bill.

"We are aware this is not an ideal law, but it solves demands of veterans, including the one that the Bill defines public announcement of Register of Veterans. It is also agreed to make it clear in the Register who was in units of Army of RBiH, Croatian Defense Council HVO, MoI, defense industry, logistics and background units," emphasized Bukvarević.

Bukvarević added that demobilized soldiers and their family members will be able to exercise more rights based on the new law, including health protection, treatments abroad, etc.
