Izetbegović, Komšić and Radončić sign a Joint Statement on government forming

SARAJEVO, May 17 (FENA) - Presidents of SDA, DF and SBB, Bakir Izetbegović, Željko Komšić and Fahrudin Radončić, signed a Joint Statement today in the building of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, establishing the principles and priorities of the patriotic bloc in the legislative and executive powers.

The Joint Statement by the Party of Democratic Action, the Democratic Front and the Alliance for a Better Future reads as follows:

“Fully aware of the gravity of the historical moment, the threats and challenges for Bosnia and Herzegovina brought by changes on global, regional and internal levels, starting from our own responsibility for the overall situation and further development of relations in the country and the region, in order to ensure peace, stability and prosperity in the interest of all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina; the Democratic Front, the Alliance for a Better Future and the Party of Democratic Action have decided to form a powerful patriotic, political bloc that will act as part of the legislative and executive authorities at the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Federation of BiH with the following priorities:

Defense of the sovereignty, territorial integrity and constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina; preserving peace, stability and security in the country; preserving the heritage and truth about the 1992-1995 war in Bosnia and Herzegovina with special care and attention for further promotion of rights and improvement of the status of veterans, demobilized soldiers and members of their families and civilian victims of war; accelerating the process of integration of BiH into the European Union through innovation and intensive implementation of the Reform Agenda; urgent activation of the Membership Action Plan for BiH with NATO and progress of BiH in the process of full integration into NATO through the regular adoptions of Annual National Programs (ANPs); immediate implementation of all judgments of BiH and European Courts relating to the Election Law in order to ensure the constitutional and institutional equality of peoples and citizens throughout the entire territory of BiH, by the end of 2019 at the latest; achieving the representation of constituent peoples and other peoples in institutions at all levels of government in accordance with the constitutions in BiH; adoption of the laws and implementation of other measures necessary for the prevention and elimination of discrimination based on ethnic, religious, ideological or any other grounds; adopting economic reforms and building a better business environment with the aim of strengthening the domestic economy and creating new jobs; improving the rule of law and addressing security threats with a more effective fight against organized crime, terrorism and corruption; improving legal solutions in order to achieve complete independence of judicial, prosecutorial and security structures with the aim of continuing their depoliticizing and improving efficiency and competences in their action; adoption of regulations in the field of labor legislation in accordance with international standards that will improve the exercise of rights from healthcare and pension insurance and other rights arising from labor laws and increasing the amount of minimum wage in the real sector; launching and implementation of mass infrastructure public works in the field of road transportation in the country, including expanding and enhancing energy and digital infrastructure in BiH; stronger financial and organizational support for measures that will ensure the sustainable return of expelled and displaced persons and reorganization of ministries in the Government of the Federation of BiH in order to establish a more rational, efficient and functional government structure, stated the SDA Public Relations Office.
